Treat all fellow students, instructors, and staff with kindness and respect. Everyone’s ideas and skills are valued, so let’s encourage and support each other.
Always follow safety instructions carefully and do not use any power or gas tools unless you have had a full induction and are confident you know how to use them safely. Ask your tutor for help if you’re unsure about any process.
Maintain a positive attitude and be patient with yourself and others. Remember, mistakes are part of learning—and we’re here to grow together! Often, the most useful learning and progress happen through making ‘mistakes’ and trying different approaches.
Treat tools, materials, and the workspace with care. Clean up after yourself and put supplies back where they came from. If you are not sure where something belongs, ask your instructor. Report any damage or issues to the instructor.
We encourage sharing ideas and techniques, but please avoid offering unsolicited advice or criticism. If someone asks for feedback, kindly share your thoughts with respect and consideration.
Our community is inclusive and welcoming. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of racism, bullying, discrimination, or harassment. Anyone behaving disrespectfully will be asked to leave.
Respect others’ privacy and personal space. Sharing ideas and techniques is encouraged, but please keep personal stories and discussions respectful and considerate.
Every artist has their unique style. Be open to new ideas, techniques, and feedback—we all have something to learn!
Most importantly, enjoy the process, get creative, and make some beautiful jewellery!
