Our most popular sessions! Jewellery in a Day is the perfect choice for beginners and those at the start of their jewellery making journey. These sessions will enable you to create a lovely piece of jewellery ‘in a day’, inspired by a wide range of samples and techniques. You will learn to measure, cut, texture and form metal, then solder it all together and include embellishments such as pre-cut shapes or a gemstone. These sessions can be booked online for up to 5 participants and larger groups can be hosted upon request.
Please note: The studio is a large space and may be in use by our other tutors and makers. Please be reassured that you will receive dedicated tuition throughout your session.
At Orchard Workshop we are committed to providing an inclusive environment where all individuals can work comfortably and productively. We recognise that people are diverse and have varying needs and are happy to make reasonable adjustments, this includes dedicated quiet spaces, adjustable equipment, and flexible sessions. We want to ensure our facilities are welcoming to people of all abilities and sensory processing profiles and if you are unsure please contact us to discuss.

Our Private Tuition sessions are relaxed, friendly and truly tailored to your aims and interests. You will have the chance to:
A huge range of materials are included in the workshop price and most pieces of jewellery are achievable without any additional charge.
A wide selection of gemstones will be available to choose from.
If you wish to create something particularly large from sterling silver, such as a chunky bangle, cuff, statement earrings or pendant there will be an additional 'cost price' charge, but we will always advise you of this in advance and offer alternatives so there are never any surprises.
It is often possible to create larger items from 'pure copper', 'golden brass' and 'rosy bronze' without any additional cost.
Please note: We do not keep gold in stock. Gold is ordered in on a project by project basis due to the high cost of the raw material. If you would like to work in gold or have your own gold you wish to remodel, please check out our Technical Tuition sessions. Due to contamination issues we do not work with platinum/palladium or alternative metals such as titanium.
Here is a little bit of text about the tutor, it can be linked.
